Below are questions students frequently have about transferring to Saint Louis University. If your question is not addressed below, do not hesitate to contact your admission counselor.
With the exception of certain majors, SLU accepts applications on a rolling basis.
SLU’s occupational therapy program requires transfer applications be submitted by Feb. 15 for fall admission and by Oct. 15 for spring admission. Remember, your application is not considered complete until all required materials are submitted.
A personal essay and résumé are optional and not required as part of your application. However, we recommend submitting an essay and résumé if you are concerned about your chance of admission.
The minimum for all admission is a 2.5 GPA, but the requirement could be higher depending on your major. The specific program pages have more detailed information on additional requirements.
We still need information from that school, even if you’ve just started. Ask your college for a transcript showing the course schedule. You can also provide us with an unofficial schedule.
The only case in which a transfer student would be awarded a freshman scholarship is if he or she is transferring to SLU and will start here with less than 24 hours of credit attempted.
Most general college-level classes in which you achieved a grade of “C” or higher should transfer to SLU. You can use our online course evaluation form to get an idea of how your previous courses will transfer.
SLU requires each school you’ve attended to directly send your official transcripts.
SLU does not require an official high-school transcript or ACT/SAT score if you have more than 24 transferable credits hours. If needed, official ACT and/or SAT test scores can be sent to us electronically by the testing company or will be accepted if included on official high school transcripts.
SLU does not offer a scholarship attached to Missouri's A+ Scholarship program.
